What if you could navigate through George R.R. Martin's fictional continent of Westeros, where most of hit series Game of Thrones
is taking place, on Google Maps? While you can't do that just yet, you
can at least see what it would look like, as one fan of the series
created a Google Maps-flavored Westeros map.
Reddit user selvag posted the map this week. The map contains no spoilers, he claims, and it's also available as a poster on Etsy.
While the map is definitely cool to look at, it's not interactive and
you can't zoom in. If you're looking for a more detailed map, you
should check out A Map of Ice and Fire, which covers the other three continents in George R.R. Martin's world — Essos, Sothoryos and Ulthos. Or try quartermaester.info, which includes a "spoiler control."
Fans of Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Scandal, Once Upon a Time and more: Smile, we have good news.
ABC has just renewed a ton of their existing and freshman shows for brand new seasons.
That list includes the aforementioned as well as How To Get Away With Murder (Season 2), Nashville (Season 4), American Crime (Season 2), Secrets and Lies (Season 2), Marvel's Agent Carter (Season 2), black-ish (Season 2), Fresh Off the Boat (Season 2), The Goldbergs (Season 3), The Middle (Season 7), Modern Family (Season 7) and Galavant (Season 2).
And in the alternative programming sector, America's Funniest Home Videos (Season 26), The Bachelor (Season 20), Dancing With the Stars (Season 21), Shark Tank (Season 7), Beyond the Tank (Season 2) and 20/20 also scored renewals.
Whew. Got all that?
The news was less sunny, meanwhile, for a handful of other shows.
Dramas Resurrection and Forever were both axed, and the same goes for freshman comedy Cristela.
The network says a decision has not been made, meanwhile, on Tim Allen's Last Man Standing, which is hoping for a fifth season.
After multiple teases and hints, it's finally official: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5
is a real game, and it's coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later
this year, with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions to follow at a later
date.
Developer Robomodo, the same team behind 2012's THPS HD remake, is back with a new entry in the series that, according to Game Informer, draws heavily from the first four numbered releases in the Tony Hawk series.
THPS 1 through 4 played out across a series of
levels, each in a different environment. To advance, players were
required to complete a number of level-specific challenges, from
reaching specific high-score thresholds to finding hidden video tapes or
grabbing a group of collectibles during a single combo.
For THPS 5, Robomodo is sticking to that basic framework
while adding in new features, like power-ups. The game also ropes in
many of the more modern-day trappings that weren't around (or as widely
embraced) back during the early days of the series. Competitive and
cooperative online play are options, as is a skate park creation mode.
You can see one of the first screens from the game up top; head over to Game Informer's reveal for many more screens and additional details, including a partial rundown of playable skaters on the roster.
Star Wars characters old and new are landing in the Disney Infinity universe, lightsabers and all.
Disney Interactive announced Disney Infinity 3.0, the next installment of the now annualized toys-to-life franchise will focus heavily on the Star Wars universe, while also featuring other characters from current and upcoming Disney, Pixar and Marvel films.
We might never see a proper John Wick video game, but this trailer remake is Grand Theft Auto V is the next best thing.
YouTube user Powerlight-13 used footage from Rockstar's latest crime adventure to piece it all together, laying the audio from the original trailer on top of the video. The final product is a surprisingly accurate recreation.
John Wick tells the story of a retired hitman (Keanu
Reeves!) who carves a bloody path of vengeance across New York City
after a bunch of evil, joy-hating jerks kill his beagle puppy.
Considering GTA is known for housing equally violent weirdos (like Trevor Phillips!), this trailer seems like the perfect homage.
TV renewals are a special beast this year compared to previous ones.
Most notably, networks started handing out the good news to some shows months ago.
In January, for example, The CW handed out renewals to eight of its series, in hopes of giving the creators enough time to craft the best possible finales — a respectable move.
About a month later, NBC handed out its own round of renewals to the MVPs of its procedural slate. Again, respect.
And that's not even mentioning the spot renewals handed out to breakout freshman hits. Looking at you, Empire, Last Man on Earth and NCIS: New Orleans.
That brings us to the time of year when this kind of news typically breaks.
So far, ABC was the first to hand out a big dump of (mostly) good
news, announcing on Thursday night the renewal of more than 20 shows,
including some pleasant surprises. (Congrats, Galavant and Agent Carter.)
In case you've missed any of the beats mentioned above, we've rounded up all the good news here for you.
Expect this list to grow over in the coming days, as NBC, CBS and Fox
hand down word. (ABC and The CW are either done with news of this sort
or very close to it.)
As Revenge and Forever
fans have learned over the past few days, we've officially entered one
of TV fans' most anxiety-filled times of the year: when broadcast
networks decide which shows are coming back for another year and which
ones aren't.
For weeks, network executives have been taking stock of their current
TV lineups, watching pilots looking for the next breakout hit (or, at
the very least, shows that have promise) and deciding which series
deserve a spot on the final list.
Decisions on shows fates' are coming slowly, and viewers are either starting their celebrations or are taking their anger to social media, where they're only taking breaks to sign "Save My Show" petitions.
In the coming days ahead of the annual mega-meeting with advertisers
known as Upfronts, the axe will fall fast and furious upon some of your
favorites as part of the inevitable process. We'll keep you up to date
on the action with the list of canceled shows, below.
Just remember, though, we're only the messengers.
Here are the shows* from the five major broadcast networks that are officially not returning next year:

This 16-bit version of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is 12 parsecs of awesome.
We can hardly wait for the new Star Wars movie, but to take your excitement to the next level, Noober Goober Gaming created a shot-for-shot 16-bit version of the second movie trailer — and it's some good Sith. (Get it ? Reshuffle those letters.)
Sheryl Sandberg broke her silence on Tuesday about the death of her
husband and SurveyMonkey CEO Dave Goldberg, who died suddenly from
severe head trauma after collapsing while exercising last week.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Facebook's
COO thanked family and friends for the "outpouring of love" and
recounted memories including how she met Goldberg almost 20 years ago
after moving to Los Angeles.
"He showed me the Internet for the first time, planned fun outings,
took me to temple for the Jewish holidays, introduced me to much cooler
music than I had ever heard," Sandberg wrote, adding that they shared 11
happy years of love, marriage and partnership. "
He gave me the experience of being deeply understood, truly supported and completely and utterly loved — and I will carry that with me always. Most importantly, he gave me the two most amazing children in the world."
Sandberg went on to describe the days since her husband's death as
"completely unexpected hell – the darkest and saddest moments of my
life." Goldberg's funeral took place Tuesday.
According to a source close to the family, Goldberg died Friday evening after the 47-year-old executive collapsed
while exercising on vacation with family and friends at Palmasola, a
private residence in Punta Mita, Mexico. Efforts to revive him off-site
and at a hospital were unsuccessful. Cause of death was severe head
trauma, according to local officials.
The F1 star turned heads in his bizarre ensemble as he stepped out in Soho for a solo dinner.
Lewis Hamilton spotted out in SoHo
We've all had that moment when we look at a picture of our ex and
suddenly think 'What WERE we thinking?'... and we reckon that moment
might have just arrived for Nicole Scherzinger.
Her ex boyfriend Lewis Hamilton was spotted out in New York on Tuesday sporting a very bizarre ensemble.
The Formula One ace teamed a combat jacket with a wide-brimmed red hat, dark shades and odd bulky books with red stripes.
The sporting ace has been borrowing from Pharrell Williams edgy style of late, but this might be a step too far.
