Miami prosecutors want a judge to do something legions of Beliebers only dream about – view video of Justin Bieber’s private parts.
Responding to claims by Bieber’s lawyers that police station footage showing the pop icon in “various states of undress” with his “intimate personal parts” exposed during his recent Miami Beach DUI booking should be denied to the media, prosecutors said Friday that the judge on the case should view the video behind closed doors to “balance the public’s interest” against Bieber’s privacy rights.
“The video tapes of the defendant’s intimate personal parts may very well fall outside the definition of what is public record,” Assistant Florida State Attorney Juan Perez said in the new filing obtained by the Daily News.

Authorities already released some video showing Bieber getting a pat down at the Miami Beach Police station on Jan. 23.

The still-unreleased video shows Bieber “stumbling and going to the bathroom” in a holding cell, a law enforcement source told TMZ.com.
“This isn’t our issue. This is a media issue,” arising from a public records request, prosecution spokesman Ed Griffith told The News Friday.

He said video like what's at the center of the new Bieber imbroglio generally is considered public record, but certain highly private material including Social Security numbers – and presumably naked images – are protected from public release.
“What is indicated as a concern (by Bieber’s lawyers) would be redacted under the law anyway,” Griffith said.

In his Tuesday filing on the issue, Bieber’s lead lawyer Roy Black said the video could cause “irreparable harm” if released before a court hearing.

A hearing has been set for next Thursday, according to the Miami-Dade County Clerk.
Bieber, 19, was due for arraignment Friday in his drag racing DUI case but managed to avoid a courthouse media frenzy by filing a written "not guilty" plea Jan. 29 based on the three misdemeanor charges in his police report – resisting arrest, DUI and driving with a non-valid license.
Griffith said the unorthodox written plea made the arraignment “moot” because prosecutors ultimately decided to go along with the exact same police charges.

“No court arraignment was necessary today,” Griffith said Friday. “We can always amend the charges down the line if necessary.”

Bieber and a friend in another exotic sports car were handcuffed and hauled away for DUI bookings after the pop star allegedly cussed out cops with multiple F bombs at the scene.

Breathalyzer and urine tests revealed the Canadian crooner had marijuana, Xanax and a small amount of alcohol in his system.
The “Boyfriend” singer’s recent legal woes also include a felony vandalism probe in California over his alleged egging of a neighbor and a Toronto charge that he assaulted a limo driver in December.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney is expected to make a decision on possible charges in the alleged egg assault in the coming days.
